Several speakers have already been identified and two hands-on work- shops are under discussion. ASA has begun to explore some new stand-alone hands-on education- al opportunities for surgical assistants. The goal is to offer surgical assistants more advance practice education ave- nues outside of the customary meet- ings. Beyond the initial training, ASA is also researching opportuni- ties for advanced training with daVinci.
